Tobias Truvillion

Tobias Truvillion is an award-winning actor from Queens, New York. Named a 2012 Essence magazine “Top 20 Eye Candy” selection, Tobias is a philanthropist, devoted youth advocate, teacher, model, and avid supporter of Friends of The Congo. Prior to acting he was signed to Ford Models and featured in several high profile print and commercial campaigns.

Consistent in his effort to bring quality entertainment to the masses, Tobias commandeered his latest guest-starring role as a “special agent,” on USA Network’s White Collar crime series (Season 5, Episode 4, “Quantico Closure”). In Jan. ’14, he will guest star in Gabrielle Union’s BET comedy series Being Mary Jane (Jan. ’14).

In 1999, Tobias was compelled to pursue his penchant for acting and enrolled in The National Black Theater of Harlem. In 2001 he was honored with a prestigious AUDELCO Award for his artistic excellence. Tobias joined the cast of ABC’s hit soap One Life to Live in 2006 as Vincent Jones. He earned a 2008 NAACP Image Award nomination for “Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series.”

Tobias has appeared onstage in 2011, one of the Tuskegee Airmen in multi-award-winning writer/director Layon Gray’s off-Broadway smash Black Angels Over Tuskegee. In 2012 he landed a role in the Pulitzer Prize-winning comedic playwright Top/Dog Underdog, directed by Suzan Lori Parks.

In 2009 Truvillion helped implement an arts-media program at the Marion A. Bolden Student Center, in Newark, New Jersey. He is passionate about teaching inner-city youth TV production, filmmaking, acting and many other positive life essentials.
