(Los Angeles, July 2, 2014) Europe’s hottest ticket for three decades, Night of the Proms, brought its one-of-a-kind classic-meets-pop stage extravaganza to a limited four-city tour American Tour and astounded both critics and audiences alike.

So embraced was this first foray onto U.S. soil, that a 20-city U.S. tour is now being prepped for 2015.

“Without a doubt, Night of the Proms gets the award for the most interesting live musical experience ever,” said Chuck Cox, Special Contributor for Dallas Rattle and Hum. “When I saw Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, The Pointer Sisters and Chic featuring Nile Rodgers backed by a full orchestra, I knew I was in for something different, but I had no idea just how unique.”

And…“Where do I begin? For somebody like myself who enjoys just about all genres of music, it was a really cool experience that I liked more and more as it went on,” said Cox.

Adding, “The evening started with the 60-piece Il Novecento orchestra; the choir, Fine Fleur and an electric band playing the theme from “2001: A Space Odyssey”…When he mentioned “Dallas,” the orchestra and band kicked into the opening verse of the theme…The choir then did a cover of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” which was great…The orchestra then played Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 5,” leading up to Kenny Loggins.

These multi-Grammy Award-winning talents and veterans of European Night of the Proms performances came together in four U.S. markets, (Dallas, Little Rock, Omaha and Kansas City) presenting their #1 hits backed by IL Novecento, Belgium’s world-renowned classical orchestra, and Fine Fleur; a 24-voice choir, and a five-piece electric band headed by British pop star John “Music” Miles. Comedic opera diva Natalie Choquette added her genius to complete an incomparable line-up.

Local PBS stations aired the live Night of the Proms exclusive television special, as part of their fundraising efforts, to give fans an advance sneak peek of the tour.

Night of the Proms has sold over nine million tickets across Europe by matching pop stars with the music of the world’s greatest composers presented with jaw-dropping sets, spectacular light shows and exquisite audio technology. Night of the Proms brought the same unforgettable experience to America’s heartland. Presenting hit after hit, the audience became part of the show, singing along and dancing in their seats to the best-ever performances of the great music they know and love.

Night of the Proms began in 1985 when two Belgian students gave their own twist to classical concerts by adding contemporary music and popular artists to the program. The new and original concept of ‘classic meets pop’ was born. Night of the Proms helped launch the careers of superstars Andrea Bocelli and David Garrett and boasts a long list of artists including Sting, Roger, Joe Cocker, Tears for Fears, John Fogerty, Sinead O’Connor, James Brown, Boy George, Chrissie Hynde, Seal, Simple Minds, Donna Summer, Toto, Huey Lewis, Foreigner, James Blunt, UB-40, Gloria Estefan, Roger Hodgson, Cyndi Lauper, Meatloaf and Art Garfunkel.
